Sources
Where Our Information Comes From
Every event date, venue and seasonal window on this site starts with a primary source whenever one exists:
- Event organizers. Festival, rodeo and race dates come from the organizer's official website or press release first.
- Public agencies. Park rules, wildlife guidance, road and weather information come from the agency responsible: the National Park Service, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the U.S. Forest Service, the Colorado Department of Transportation, the National Weather Service and the U.S. Geological Survey.
- Tourism offices. Town and regional visitor bureaus such as Visit Denver or the Breckenridge Tourism Office are used to confirm local details.
- Established news outlets. When an organizer has not published a date yet, we may cite reporting from established Colorado news organizations and say that we are doing so.
Each guide ends with a list of the sources used, and key facts are linked in the text.

How We Handle Dates
Event dates are the least stable facts on the internet. Aggregator sites often show last year's dates, and organizers sometimes change plans after tickets go on sale. Our rules:
- We list the most recent confirmed edition. If the 2027 dates are not announced, we give the 2026 dates and the usual timing, and we say which is which.
- We flag disagreements. When reliable sources disagree about a date, we say so and point to the organizer to confirm.
- We do not invent details. We do not publish prices, hours or phone numbers unless we have verified them, and we prefer to send readers to the official site for anything that changes often.
- We date our updates. Time-sensitive pages, such as the "what's on now" list on the home page, carry the date they were last checked.

What We Do Not Do
- Listings are chosen by our editors; any sponsored placement is labelled.
- We do not publish reviews or ratings of events we have not attended, and we do not present opinions as facts.
- We do not claim to have visited places or attended events unless that is true.
- Advertising on the site is served by Google AdSense and is kept separate from editorial content.
